St Mary Magdalene Centre for Refugees & Asylum Seekers offers a warm welcome to refugees and asylum seekers in Islington and give support in many different areas.

At the Centre we run English and computer classes, give practical support though our clothes store and food packets. Support and help is given by volunteers and staff throughout the week on issues like benefits, housing, contacting other services. We aim to be flexible to people’s individual needs.
 

We also want to encourage and develop local people’s skills by involving them in our work. About twenty volunteers a week help out at the Centre. You can find out more about volunteering on these pages.

In addition, we have links with local charities and organisations where our service users can volunteer and use their skills.
