THE ALPHA COURSE
TWO COURSES:   WED 7-9:15PM;   THUR 10:30AM-12:00

DOES GOD EXIST?    [Yes/No/Probably]

Alpha is an invitation for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed setting over 10 thought-provoking weekly sessions and with a day or weekend away. The evening course (Wednesdays at 7pm) comprises a meal, a talk and then discussion in small groups. The morning course (Thursdays at 10:30am) has tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes instead of the meal and also a supervised creche, but is the same as the evening course in all other respects. If you want to do Alpha then we suggest planning to attend the next course in the autumn term starting 15 September (10:30am) and 29 September 2010 (7pm)

Serving Asylum Seekers and Refugees
A church ministry to refugees and asylum seekers offering a warm welcome and practical support. We run ESOL, art and computer classes and provide food packets. We help on how to approach benefits, housing and other services.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CENTRE IS CLOSED DURING AUGUST

Encouraging Volunteering
The Centre encourages local volunteering through its activities. Church members are specially welcome to become involved.

Encouraging Participation
Anyone is welcome to come with their own ideas. Activities, clubs and meetings draw in people of diverse interests and all ages.

Empowering and Serving the Local Community
A church ministry engaging with local people, aiming to encourage them to undertake voluntary activities with and for their neighbours and community. Self-help activities, organized and led from within the local population, are at the core of what the Project facilitates. Kidz Klub on Fridays, 3:30-5:30PM  from September: call to enquire or register.

Well over 2 million in the UK and 15 million worldwide have attended Alpha.

Alpha Mission trip to Moscow:
